JCPenney's Mini Catalogs: Hate it or Love it?
JCPenney's Mini Catalogs: Hate it or Love it?
I remember the days of ol when the highlight of the Christmas season was getting a big JCPenney Catalog. I remember turning the pages all shiny and new dreaming of the possibilities of what I would get you. The catalogs were heavy and easily 500 pages or more.
My mother used to bookmark the pages by folding, post its, or colored tabs. We used to walk to the back of the store with postcard coupon in hand for our free catalog. The catalog eventually went from free to $5, but we didn't care we loved our book.
Today I got in mail the mini catalog and I am not to enthusiastic about it. Maybe because I miss the days of ol or maybe because it has lost its appeal. I carefully looked at each page felt the material, the fiber, and no memories. I sifted through the other one and located a nice watch. There wasn't any description about it only the name and price.
I guess the new owner is trying to make things simpler. It only takes me about 2 to 3 minutes to look at mini catalog, and that's exaggerated. Also only 10 minutes inside the store to look at the newest products and prices. To tell you the truth nothing is really new anymore at my location.
I write this opinionated sphere blog post to ask has JCPenney lost its luster? The last zing was getting the buttons when came in the store with purchase. I am losing my love...
